The Community Room at the Village Hall is available to use for events.   It is a great location to host family get togethers, baby or bridal showers, card clubs, coffee groups, etc.   There is a kitchenette and eight round tables that seat forty people.  Please call the Sherri at 608-879-2004 for more information.


The Orfordville Lions Club will host the second annual Splash Dash 5K on Saturday, June 17th at 10:00 a.m. at the Parkview Football Field.  You can sign up at  You can also get a form at the Farmers & Merchant's Bank, or sign up between 9:00 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. that morning. The cost is $20.00 which includes a tshirt.   This is a timed event.   The route will start at the Football Field and go through the streets of the Village.


Farmers Market season is upon us!  Farmers Markets will be held across from 303 E. Beloit Street from June through September.  New this year is the Thursday night market from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  We will also continue to offer the Saturday morning Farmers Market from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m..  Fall Fest will close out the Farmers Market season on Saturday, October 7th at Parkview Elementary School.   Please email Sherri at for an application.


The American Legion will have their annual Memorial Day Program on Memorial Day, May 29th.  The program will start at 10:30 a.m. at Parkview High School.   A program will be held in the gym.  The Memorial Day Parade will be immediately following the program, which will commence from the High School to the American Legion.  Memorial Park will be rededicated, with the BBQ to follow the dedication.



There are two pavilions available at Purdy Park to use for private functions.  You must reserve the pavilion ahead of time.  You can begin making reservations for 2017 on January 3, 2017.  There is a $50.00 deposit due when making the reservation.  You will get half of the deposit back if the pavilion is left in good order.  



Please remember that the yard waste site is for residential yard waste only.   People are using the area to dump electronics, appliances, and trash.  That is not what the area is for intended for, please only deposit yard waste!



Dog Licenses for 2017 are now available.  Altered dogs cost $3.00, unaltered dogs cost $8.00.  Please bring your vet information with you when you license your dog.  The information should show the date of vaccination, the rabies tag number, and the expiration date.   A $5.00 late fee will be assessed for licenses purchased after April 1, 2017.







   COMMUNITY SURVEY            Residents in the Village will be receiving a survey in the mail the week of June 1st.  The Village is having a survey conducted to try to qualify for a grant from Rural Development for upgrades to the wastewater treatment plant.  Your participation in the survey is crucial to the Village receiving the grant.  If the village qualifies for the grant, sewer rates will not have to be raised as high.  Please call Sherri at 608-879-2004 if you have any questions.
